Christine & Craig’s Wedding at Sturmer Hall & St. Mary’s Church, Saffron Walden.

Following on from the sneak peak at the wedding photography of Christine & Craig’s wedding at Sturmer Hall and St Mary’s Church, here is the full blog post.

Sturmer Hall is one of our nearest wedding venues, situated just a few miles from our home in Linton. The hall is just outside Haverhill in Suffolk and was a delightful venue for Christine and Craig to use as their wedding reception after they had their ceremony in the impressive St Mary’s Church in Saffron Walden. We started the day by photographing the boys at the gates of Audley End Manor before heading over to Christine’s parents house to photograph her getting ready. Then it was a dash to the church for the service, but due to restrictions on photography in the church we were unable to record the actual ceremony. No problem though – we simply restaged it afterwards, so many thanks to Reverend Anne Howson for staying behind to help us with that.

After the formals it was over to Sturmer Hall for the reception and more photo opportunities in and around the house. The weather stayed dry, but chilly, so drinks on the lawn was not an option which was a real shame. That said, we still managed to get some group shots on the steps before anyone got too cold. Many thanks to all the guests for your cooperation.

Here is a selection of images from the day. I will upload all the pictures to the online gallery soon. In the meantime, if you would like to add comments, either use the Add Comment tab or if you are a facebook user, just fill in the facebook comment box. I am sure Christine and Craig would love to read a few as they enjoy their honeymoon in Mauritius…..

Hedingham Castle Wedding Photographer ~ Julius and Laura’s Wedding at Hedingham Castle.

On Saturday I was the wedding photographer for Julius and Laura’s Wedding at Hedingham Castle in Essex.  Visitors to this blog will no doubt remember that I photographed Julius and Laura’s pre wedding photoshoot in sunny Dubai, where they both live and work. If only they could have brought some of that sunshine with them to Essex last weekend! Here in East Anglia, we are enduring the wettest drought in history and although we are usually very lucky with the weather at the weddings we photograph, our luck in that department didn’t hold last weekend. Not that it mattered though, because Hedingham Castle is a great venue for photographs regardless of the weather and everyone had a great day.

Laura’s family had flown over from Australia and with their friends from Dubai made the wedding a truly international event. We were made to feel most welcome by everyone and had a great time. Despite not being able to get outside and make use of the grounds for photos, I still took over a thousand pictures, so this blog post is going to be picture heavy.

Laura and Julius are off to The Maldives on honeymoon, but hopefully they will be able to find an internet connection somewhere, so if you would like to leave messages or comments, please click on the Add Comment tab below…….

Family Photo Portrait Session in the Studio.

It’s been the wettest April since records began, so the studio is the place to be. On sunday, I photographed Vicky, Richard & Charlie for a family portrait in our new studio facility here in Linton.

I will be photographing Vicky and Richard’s wedding at South Farm in June, but in the meantime, here are some of the results from their studio session:

Newborn Baby Portraits, Cambridge.

With our new studio now up and running, we photographed newborn babies Riley and Jake. Born just a couple of weeks ago, these two young fellas were in the studio for a couple of hours for their very first photo call. Below are a couple of examples in both colour and deep sepia. They will look great when mounted and framed.

If you are new parents and would like your bundle of joy photographed by Aspect Photography, our sitting fee is just £95.00 and includes a 10×7 inch print. Please contact us to arrange a sitting.

Or in colour…………..
